  Pocket Wizards are rock solid instruments of radio tx/rx. I've messed with other radios to trigger strobes and speedlights. You can save money, then you find yourself in a tunnel shooting some editorial and the signal won't cross the street. Or the radio goes down and you just have to throw it out because it's not worth fixing. Pocket Wizards are of such quality that you get them repaired. You find parts for them and you work through a user serviceable operation that puts you back in business. I have Plus3's, X's, and Flex TT5, as well as the AC3 and the MC2s to trigger my Paul C Buff Einstein lights. All the units communicate with each other all have many useful functions. If you want to be sure your light will go off, buy a Pocket Wizard!
